Abstract—Withthe economy rapid development, the role of modern logistics industry is moreand more important in regional economic development. In this paper, the closeconnection between logistics system and economy system is discussed. The causalitybetween logistics and economy is analyzed, and a contribution model of logistics-economicssystem is set up. The data analysis of the Ningbo city case is made to prove thepracticability of the contribution model. The result shows that the contributionand the promotion of logistics system to economy system in quantity.

Regional logistics are keys to a healthyregional economy, so it is the dominant system in the regional economy. As theChinese market economic system develops, modern logistics system has been identifiedas an important part of economic development. As a new field in the economicgrowth of China,modern logistics will play an increasingly important role in the country’seconomic development. Thus, the logistics system contribution to economy systemmust be known, and efficient regional logistics system must be developed tosupport economic development.

The quantitative study at home and abroadabout the relationship between logistics and economy are very few. The presentstudy basically used Analytic Hierarchy Process[1] and Data EnvelopmentAnalysis[2] to calculate harmonious degree. Liao Ying, and Ruan Lunning examinedthe impact of regional logistics on economic growth using the data from 1978 to2006 across 30 provinces in China.The data indicate that regional logistics boosts economic growth[3]. Xu Xueqi, JinCong, and Guo Wen analyzed the synergetic development relationship between logisticsservice providers and manufacturing clusters based on the potential function ofprofit. QiuYing, LuHuapu, andWangHaiwei first analyzed the forecastingmethods for regional logistics. Comparison of the applicable methods demonstratesthat different methods are appropriate for the four main transport modesseparately.
