Abstract:X Party Material Flow (XPMF) is a newtype of materialflow under the emerging new information technology. Based on the theory of MaterialFlow (MF), this paper analyzes the recent research progress that was made in XPMFfrom the angle of bio-evolution complexityincluding factor type primitive reconstruction driving type XPMF, enterprise primitive fractal synergetictype XPMF, adapting primitiveswarm intelligenceXPMF. Such progresshas enriched and systematized the research of XPMF theory.

1 Introduction
Based on the theory of Material Flow (MF)(Xu 2002a,2002b,2003) andthe theory of labor division and organization , the theory of X Party MaterialFlow (XPMF) has been proposed (Hou 2003) and 36 different types of materialflow organizing modes that are adaptable to the various environments have beenstudied. After this, the property of material flow (Hou 2005; Song and Hou 2005)has been further studied as that is integrated with the theoretical methodssuch as fractal (Mandelbrot 1982) and synergetics (Haken 1974). Research has demonstratedthe fractal and synergetic working mechanism of X Party Material Flow (Hou andXu 2005). Based on the result, X Party Material Flow is considered to be ableto analyze the material flows from the macroscopic point of view (Liu 2005);and direct individual enterprises for decision making from the microscopicpoint of view. Lu and Xu (2006) discussedthe evolution of material flow theories in China and overseas, mainly compared tothe material flow theories in US, Japan, and Europe, and introduced the XPMF theoryoriginated in China (Lu and Xu 2006). Daimler-Chrysler introduced the Extreme Logisticsprocedure and scheme from the Exel Supply Chain Management Company, andestablished the X Party Material Flow Organization (Bowman 2007) which cancoordinate the third party and the forth party logistics.
In the past, we have studiedthe formation mechanism of XPMFfrom the angle of labor division in organizations and systems complexity;however, a unified theoretical system has not been formed. Based on PMFbehavior law from the angle of bio-evolution, this paper will review theresearch progress that was made in theformation mechanism of XPMFto further make XPMF theory and method more powerful and systematic.
