Abstract:The interactive development between manufacturingand logistics industry has becoming a hot topic nowadays, but few paperconcerns about the benefits and detail level of interactive development betweendifferent manufacturing industries with logistics industry. This thesis firstlyanalyzes the internal mechanism and benefits from the interactive development,secondly, the Gray Relational Model is used to calculate the coordination indexbetween manufacturing and logistic industry. The theoretical analysis showsthat both can benefit from the interactive development, but different in thebenefits distribution which is related with market structure and differentdevelopment stage of logistics. From the empirical study, we find that theevolutionary rules of the coordinated index go from uncoordinated condition tocoordinated condition and then back to uncoordinated condition again.Therefore, the construction of benefits distribution mechanism is veryimportant and different kinds of manufacturing industries have to seize theirown relationship with logistics industry. Logistics industry has to meet manufacturingindustries’ demands.

1 Introduction
Theinteractive development between manufacturing and logistics industry has becomea hot topic in recent years. Many conferences were held during the past threeyears which manifested the importance of logistics in our social system. Thefirst national conference on interactive development between manufacturing andlogistics industry was held in Shanghaion September 25, 2007 by the National Development and Reform Commission, which hasreceived active response from the experts, local government and so on. Later, theState Council officially announced specific content of "Planning of LogisticsIndustry Restructuring and Revitalization" on March 13, 2009, whichincluded the plan of "Manufacturing and Logistics Interactive Development Projects".Another conference is the second national interactive development of manufacturingand logistics industry conference which was held in October 2009 in Kunming.It put the development of manufacturing and logistics industry to a high point. All of theseindicate that the urgent situation to promote the interactive development ofmanufacturing and logistics industry, however, the successful cases are not so common,many logistics companies are still difficult to find the cooperation point withmanufacturing industries.
