Urban logistics, relying on cities, are the activities happened ininner-cities, rural-urban areas and inter-city areas. It involves the layoutand operation of macro and micro logistic activities. With the out-moving oflarge-scale production from urban areas, the blurring of rural-urban borderline,the frequently exchanging activities between cities and the enlarging of cityscale, the industrial demand for logistics is decreased while the daily andoffice demand for logistics are increased. Therefore, urban logistics is one ofrelative parts between rural and urban areas, inter-city logistics is becomingone main ways in urban logistics and the inner-city logistic is also extended.

  At present, the problems in urban logisticsinclude that the policy and system on urban logistics are not perfect, thelogistic layout still lack theoretical and methodological strut, thedistributive link is too complex, the expenses are high, the circulation isinefficient, the application of information and network technology still existsdifference, the standard of logistic equipment is not unified, the join andoptimization of logistic system are relatively poor. The blurring ofrural-urban borderline and the developing of city cluster will make many citiesjoin together to form groups and a distributive network.

  To solve the current problems in urbanlogistics, our government should renew the relative policy, perfect logisticsystem, promote the programming of logistic industry, optimize the distributionof urban logistic resource, and lead to the standard investment and reasonable structurein urban logistics. At the same time, the research of academic theories must becombined with the social practice to solve the logistic problems withintelligence and talent persons. The enterprises should make efforts to lower cost,increase profits and improve service.
