Mobile commerce information system construction based on J2ME

Abstract:In this paper, based on the research and analysis ofthe J2MEarchitecture and combing with the J2MEtechnical characteristics, a type of J2ME-based mobile logistics commercesystem design program is presented, and then the realization of the keytechnologies in this program is illustrated. The program has the advantagessuch as simple realization, strong maneuverability.

1. Introduction

Along with the Internet's fast developmentand handsets' promotion,it will to be hot spot to develop the applicationsoftware based on the mobile termination of the network application research fromnow on. The present information technology's swift development has led thetraditional logistics to the modern logistics transformation, also the Internetand the wireless network popularization promotes the logistics profession tohave the revolutionary change. After marching into the electronic commercetime, the logistics informationization trend is more obviously. J2ME (Java 2Micro Edition) is the mostly used development technology based on mobileequipment presently, which provides a transplantable , the resources to takefew and the safe Java application development environment for the equipmentresources are limited. Use the J2ME technology to construct the logisticsinformation system is very appropriate.

2.Architecture of J2ME and its advantages

The technology of J2ME (java 2 Platform Micro Edition) is the Java2platforms which designed specially by the SUN Corporation for the small expenseclass electronic installation.It is composed by many kinds of dispositions,simple lists and optional Packages. At present, in numerous technologies whichcan realize the migration information processing and application, J2MEtechnology oneself has become the pacemaker and also the standard of mobile developmentdomain in fact.

J2ME has used the modular and in administrative levels of thesoftware body lash. Figure 1 expressed the J2ME lamination of softwarearchitecture. The first floor is the host computer's local operating system, andthe interior divides into the levels of the Java virtual machine (Java VirtualMachine), the Configuration (Configuration) and the Profile (Profile).

The principal advantages of J2ME technologyincludes:

The J2ME application procedure has providedhigh-level Internet agreement  of HTTPfor the handset, which enables  handset andother motion hand-hold equipments to visit  the complete information of Internet directlyby the Client/Server way and also different Client visits the differentdocument. In addition they can also visit the local memory block ( because J2MEapplication procedure may download directly to this locality) to realize theinteractive service,which has surpassed the present service that based on thetext static content. The J2ME technology is realized by supportting the interactive service which is easy to useand presented in figures rep on radio equipments. Therefore, if the handset,PDA and other mobile equipments are using this technology , the user maydownloads the new service under the interactive on-line state and the off-linestate, which makes the Java technology and the J2ME platform can bring thefollows convenient to the wireless network serve.

Regarding the operator, J2ME has provided akind of safe platform for the dynamic deployment increment wireless digitaldata service. The wireless gateway will be able to display its potential quickly.now The traditional enterprise function may extend to the wireless space.Moreover the new generation radio equipments will be able to support allemerging informations and the entertainment application. Through increases thenew application and the enhance function to increases its basic service value, whichnow makes the operator has more ability to enhance the customer loyalty and to reduceduser's fluctuation. Because the Java technology has flexibility and openness, ifthe developer increases the Java technology support characteristic in their product,they can provide the brand-new level the application and service to the users.

As for the consumer, the J2ME technologyenables the interactive service to realize,which has surpassed completely today'scontent service based on the text static state. By supportting the interactiveservice which is easy to use and presented in figures rep on radioequipments,it enables  the consumer toenjoy to a richer service. Therefore, if the handset and other mobile equipmentsare using this technology , the user may downloads the new service under theinteractive on-line state and the off-line state. It is reported that theoverwhelming majority wireless developer are using the J2ME platform to compileapplication procedure software at present. 

3. New characteristic of Modern logistics information system

New characteristic of Modern logistics information systemincludes:

(1)Standardization

Thestandardization is the foundation for modern logistics development, and thenon-standardization brings the consequence is very fearful. Conceivable, alongwith modern logistics development, if there does not have an informationstandard system, everybody does things their own way, data exchange between thedifferent information system's also needs to design the special exchangeconnection or by artificial inputs to adapt the data exchange agreement betweenthe different system, this will create enormous inconvenient and the redundantwork inevitably.
