ABSTRACT

It has been difficult, for low availabilityof traditionaldecision support system data,to meet modern enterprise need to data collecting, sorting and analysis.In paper, taking the Yuancheng group forexample, a Business Intelligence solution of integrated logistics enterprise isproposed. It will help logistics enterpriseturn data into information, and turn information into knowledge, then turnknowledge into profit. More importantly, it can improve the rationaldecision-making ability.

1. INTRODUCTION

Logisticsservices rely on information, and service quality depends on information. With theadvancement of logistics informatization, information system of logisticsenterprise has accumulated massive data, which is stored scatterly in variousdatabase forms and  contains much “noise”.It is difficult for decision-makers to draw directly the regularity conclusion.Now availabilityof enterprise data is less than 7%in China.How to evaluate logistics efficiency by historical data, and seek toimproved method, then make timely scientific decision. This has aroused highattention of logistics enterprise decision-makers.

Business Iintelligenceis considered to be another tool of enterprise informatization following theERP. It is an important method which enterprises make full use of data assets[1]. It canhelp enterprises integrate data and realize transformation from data toinformation, from information to knowledge and from knowledge to profits. And it can improve rational decision-makingability.
