http://www.emeraldinsight.com/products/journals/author_guidelines.htm?id=ijpdlm

Contemporary Strategic Supply Chain Management and Logistics Issues in Asia - Due date August 31, 2014
Submission deadline:August 31, 2014
Asia differs very widely among and within its regions with regard to ethnic groups, cultures, environments, economics, historical ties and government systems. With approximately 4.3 billion people, Asia hosts 60% of the world's population and continues to experience high growth rates in both population and economy. Over the last three decades, Asia’s economic development and integration into the global economy has been arguably the most intriguing commercial story. However, due to its diversity and associated complexity, Asia continues to be the most disconnected region in the world. Therefore, it is fascinating as well as challenging to uncover critical issues and theories relating to Asian supply chain management and logistics strategy (ASC/LM).
Since most original Asian research is not conducted in English, IJPDLM’s editorial team believes that leading scholars in the ASC/LM field may be missing the opportunity to share their important results with IJPDLM readers. One of IJPDLM’s major primary goals is to facilitate a better understanding of the key global ASC/LM research issues and stimulate thought and collaboration across regions by bringing valuable research works from Asian scholars to the fore. As an initial step towards this goal, we invite you to submit your best research to a Special Issue of IJPDLM on Contemporary Strategic Supply Chain Management and Logistics Issues in Asia. We seek papers that combine methodological rigor with region-specific data and/or case studies.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
l Critical reviews of unique supply chain and
logistics challenges in Asia
l Business Model Innovation in Asian supply
chains
l Asian approaches to supply chain and logistics
talent management
l Regional integration initiatives and their
impacts on Asian supply chains
l Regional supply chain logistics network design
strategy in Asia
l Recent developments in Asian Third Party
Logistics (3PL)
l Local regulatory legislation and its impact on
supply chain design and logistics operations
l Sustainable supply chain management strategy
and developments in Asia
l International trade and commerce in global
supply chains
l Urban logistics issues in Asian mega-cities
l Developments of Asian e-Commerce and
e-fulfillment strategy
l Risk management practice in Asian supply chains
